Glad you made it to the end of the blog post!

These photos are only mock ups. Sorry.

It’s a machinima (video of the game) running on the devices.

But it’s been a good exercise in rapid prototyping and gauging on a high level if they are possibilities.

From this exercise I have learnt,

  • Leornian on a smart phone would need substantial modifications like larger text, larger user interface/larger buttons
  • Both tablet and smart phone versions would need updated touch events instead of mouse click events
  • Both tablet and smart phone versions would need updated navigational controls
  • Both tablet and smart phone mini-games could be reworked to use the device’s available hardware like accelerometer, light input, audio input, vibration, compass and GPS
  • The Unity3D iOS and Android publish Add-Ons would need to be purchased
  • These devices have a large range of screen resolutions and sizes, memory,  CPU power, battery power
  • I’m excited by the possibilities!

I had a play of Order and Chaos on the weekend.

Crashed on Firefox, (I think the Unity 3D plugin was not installing correctly).

I tried Chrome and it ran ok, played for about an hour and levelled up to level 4 doing 3 missions.

The graphics and response times were pretty good for a browser based experience.
